From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by our friendly team. Your first appointment is relaxed and completely no-pressure — a chance to meet us and see if treatment is right for you. Your treatment coordinator will take some photos and, if needed, X-rays — a totally painless appointment. And yes, you'll be offered one of our famous hot chocolates before you leave.
Your consultation & personalised plan
Next, you'll sit down with your Specialist Orthodontist to talk through your goals and any areas you'd like to improve. They'll explain your options clearly and answer every question — there's no such thing as a silly one.
If you decide to go ahead, we'll walk you through the whole plan: the treatment itself, how often you'll visit, and the costs and payment options that suit you.
Your treatment journey, step by step
Every smile is different, but most journeys follow these seven stages.
1. Consultation
We examine your smile and talk through your options together.
2. Records
Photos, X-rays and a 3D digital scan to plan your treatment precisely.
3. Fitting
Your braces or first aligners are fitted — usually around 1–1.5 hours.
4. Adjustments
Short, regular visits as your teeth gently move into place.
5. Virtual Monitoring
Where suitable, virtual monitoring can reduce in-practice visits, saving you time while keeping treatment on track.
6. Retainers
Fixed and removable retainers keep your new smile in place for good.
7. Debanding
Your braces come off — the moment everyone looks forward to.

Not at all. The first appointment is just photos and, if needed, X-rays or a scan — all completely painless.
No referral is needed — you can book a consultation directly. If your dentist has referred you, that's great too, and we're happy to liaise with them.
Just bring along your private health fund details (if you have cover) and any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss. If another dentist or orthodontist has treated you before, any records are helpful too.

It depends on your individual case — most standard treatments take around 12 to 18 months. Your Specialist Orthodontist will give you a clear estimate at your consultation.
